Manitou Stone™ is designed for
wall heights of 24" or less.

If the ground is sloped along the length of the wall, for the most eye-pleasing result, keep Manitou Stone level and step them into the ground.

The first course should be set below grade.   2-4" of compacted fill should be used as a bed beneath the wall. Clean, granular fill should be packed behind the wall to allow ground water to escape.

As you work, check each unit with a carpenter's level, from front to back and from side to side. It's very important that the first course is straight and level, so all of the following courses will be too.

Manitou Stone units can be glued together with a heavy-duty exterior construction adhesive if preferred.
