Wheelbarrow Before you dig, find out where utility lines are buried. In Minnesota, contact Gopher State One Call at 651-454-0002. Manitou Stone™ is designed for
wall heights of 24" or less. |
If the ground is sloped along the length of the wall, for the most eye-pleasing result, keep Manitou Stone level and step them into the ground. |
|
The first course should be set below grade. 2-4" of compacted fill should be used as a bed beneath the wall. Clean, granular fill should be packed behind the wall to allow ground water to escape. |

As you work, check each unit with a carpenter's level, from front to back and from side to side. It's very important that the first course is straight and level, so all of the following courses will be too. |
|
Manitou Stone units can be glued together with a heavy-duty exterior construction adhesive if preferred. |
